Director of Jewelry

We are growing quickly and need someone to step into a Controller role here at FASHIONABLE. This role has both critical visibility within the company as well as critical function for every single department in the organization. The Controller will be responsible for building the accounting organization, developing the financial systems road map, driving process improvement and enabling strong performance against strategic, financial and operational goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Build a best-in-class accounting operation (people, processes, systems) in a high-volume transaction business with multiple business segments and reporting lines
  • Support expansion initiatives through equity/debt financing and M&A transactions; evaluate tax implications of strategic transactions
  • Actively participate in building a culture that supports professional growth and development
  • Evaluate new technical accounting developments and recommend appropriate actions; drive process improvement at all levels of the Finance organization
  • Implement effective internal controls and processes to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with all laws, integrity of corporate data, and safeguarding assets while not impacting team culture
  • Manage accounting operations, tax returns, and financial reporting; communicate with investors regarding tax matters; direct the daily activities for AP, AR, revenue, commissions, cash management, payroll, and equity administration
  • Lead annual financial audits and quarterly reviews
  • Develop KPIs and financial reporting, partner internally for accurate and timely management reporting

Your Background:

  • 7-10 years progressive accounting management experience, including significant experience at a high-growth start up
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting, with demonstrated revenue recognition experience in a dynamic, complex environment
  • Experience with bank and venture financing and sophistication with M&A
  • Demonstrated experience implementing systems and technology to enable rapid growth and scaling
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong experience with Excel, Google Sheets, and related tools
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Track record of building and developing high performance accounting teams in a fast paced organization
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to solve complex problems
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or equivalent experience and Master’s in accounting or business highly desired

Director of Jewelry:

We are growing quickly and looking to hire a Director of Jewelry. Experience in high-level soldering and metalworking is a must. This multi-faceted position requires someone who has the ability to train others in jewelry making and will oversee management of online and wholesale production. Additionally, the role will include jewelry design, development, and sourcing. We're seeking someone who is highly-motivated, organized, with a natural focus on profitability as well as strong relational and managerial skills. We strive to create excellent jewelry in an environment of compassion and grace. This position is full-time and located in our Nashville, TN office.

What you’ll do:

Oversee FASHIONABLE’s jewelry line, manufactured in-house:

  • Includes partnering with the design team on trend forecasting, creating samples based on FASHIONABLE’S brand aesthetic, and managing to sampling schedules/deadlines.
  • Source and order materials. Develop and manage a system for ordering raw supplies for all jewelry production. This includes managing vendor relations, maintaining expense trackers, and focusing on profitability.
  • Train jewelry staff. Daily/Weekly training of new hires, or training current jewelry makers on newly launched items and next skill level items.
  • Ensure quality of all jewelry products by overseeing the quality control points throughout production.
  • Manage jewelry staff and production. This includes understanding in-house inventory levels for all sales channels, creating daily production schedules for jewelry makers, communicating clear job expectations and frequent feedback to staff, developing policies and procedures for manufacturing and professional development.
  • Actively monitor and fine-tune production process, with focus on profitability, worker safety and quality results.
  • Foster a cooperative spirit among employees and create a disciplined but joyful work space.
  • Report value-adding metrics around the jewelry business. Report weekly the results of production planning, staff performance, profitability improvements, quality control rates, and inventory status.
  • Research and implement new production techniques, including new technology or equipment
  • Pursue additional education around professional and technical knowledge, whether through professional networks, seminars, workshops, or trade publications.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in FASHIONABLE manufacturing space.

Your Background:

An organized manager with problem-solving skills and drive to help others develop professional skills:

  • 2 - 4 years experience in jewelry making and production management
  • Bench jeweler certification highly recommended
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Track record of managing high performance teams in a fast paced organization
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to solve complex problems
  • Excellent analytical skills, strong experience with Excel, Google Sheets, and related tools
  • Demonstrated history of budget tracking and strategic planning, understanding of business processes and controls

Communications + Content Coordinator:

We are seeking to hire a Communications + Content Coordinator to manage our social media platforms and assist in the production of content for various campaigns. The Communications + Content Coordinator must have an eye for design, a clean and sophisticated aesthetic, and an interest in fashion. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required. Strong photography + photo editing skills are highly recommended. This position is located in our Nashville, TN office.

What you’ll do:

Manage FASHIONABLE social media with regards to schedule and creative content.

  • Work with the Marketing Director to maintain daily and weekly communication calendars
  • Fulfill requests and needs for content production, aligned with brand voice + aesthetic
  • Manage budget, shot lists and product for weekly photoshoots
  • Conceptualize, create, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, and video) on all platforms that builds meaningful connections and encourages action
  • Manage and contribute to spontaneous “live” content through instagram stories, facebook live, and snapchat
  • Moderate all social platforms for customer engagement

Your Background:

A creative go-getter with an attention to detail and the ability to multi-task like a champ.

  • 2+ years of experience in social media and marketing at an e-commerce consumer brand, lifestyle brand, fashion brand, or creative agency
  • Quick responder: constantly checking social media channels and email
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter that is able to think independently and creatively solve problems
  • Social media savvy: ability to understand new platforms quickly and with genuine excitement
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Extremely organized with a knack for systems and efficiency, and the ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize as needed
  • An eye for design, style, and ability to artistically direct at photo shoots
