Celebrating 2015!

Happy New Year!! 2015 was a HUGE  year for FASHIONABLE, and we wanted to take a moment and celebrate some big accomplishments we've seen this year. We've seen one of our top-sellers, the Mamuye Tote on some of our favorite celebrities, including Julianne Hough, Jessica Alba, Olivia Wilde, and Drew Barrymore.  The popularity of our leather products means that we've been able to provide more jobs and help strengthen capacity with our partners. Because we've seen our leather business more than triple, we were able to help secure consistent power supply from the government when our team was visiting Ethiopia this fall, which has created a more...

Wanna join us in biking tomorrow? Share a photo on...

And this month we've been going into a little more detail on these areas. We've touched on SUSTAINABILITY and SUPPLY CHAIN, and today we're wrapping up with STORY.   Each FASHIONABLE product is named after one of the heroic women we work with. That means every product has a story behind it. The women who so carefully and lovingly weave and craft our items are ABLE to do something because of your purchase…because they have a job. Mamuye is ABLE to work hard...

Slow Fashion: SUPPLY CHAIN.

behind-the-scenes Faces of FASHIONABLE slow fashion

We've been talking a lot about SLOW FASHION lately here at fashionABLE. We've mentioned the 3 reasons we're taking it slow: SUSTAINABILITY, SUPPLY CHAIN, + STORY. For the next 3 weeks, we'll be going into a little more detail on these areas. Last week we talked about SUSTAINABILITY. Today it's about the SUPPLY CHAIN.   By purchasing products made in Africa, you are investing in a developing economy and providing jobs for the entire supply chain. So it's not just those that weave our scarves and craft our leather goods that are benefitting, but it's entire communities rising out of poverty because...
