Empathy happens when we realize that we all deeply desire love, respect, and understanding… even those who appear to be different from us. And, it’s a powerful moment when we recognize that we have so much more in common with each other than what makes us different.
This month at ABLE, we’re acting on our commitment to continual learning, as well as to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We believe that love makes the world a safer, brighter place, and the shortest path to love is understanding.
June marks Pride Month and Juneteenth, two events that celebrate the strides we’ve made towards equity for all people. They also remind us how much further we have to go.
We also believe that it’s hard to empathize with a stranger. Over the next four weeks, we’ll be sharing new voices from our community - of diverse genders, sexualities, and races - to learn more about the history of the struggle for acceptance and equality. Uplifting all people is central to our beliefs as a company, and this is no exception.
We hope that by sharing the stories and history of these struggles, we can learn to see each other more clearly.
We are always open to hearing how we can better engage in conversations that move society toward justice. To share your ideas or thoughts please email email@example.com.
