Manager, Email Marketing

This person will be responsible for email programs that continuously optimize performance to drive revenue and increase retention and loyalty.
Our ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of how to leverage customer behavioral, transactional, lifestyle and demographic data to deliver relevant marketing campaigns through multiple touch points across all communication channels. Their primary goal: driving customer loyalty and increase lifetime value. This person will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills, top-notch project management skills, creative problem solving and a highly organized, process-focused aptitude to manage multiple responsibilities and deliverables. This role reports to the Director, Digital Marketing.
Manage day to day refinement and creation of email marketing campaigns - both broadcast and trigger communications.
Partner with the creative and content team to develop best in class emails that engage the consumer with relevant visuals, content and messaging
Develop segmentation based on customer behavior to cross-sell and grow customer engagement
Implement relevant, vetted email marketing campaigns and customized offers for cross-platform communication based on models and desired actions.
Brainstorm campaign specific email creative and proactively work with design and marketing teams to produce email content.
Spearhead the development and optimization of email trigger campaigns across the entire customer lifecycle.
Develop ongoing strategies to maximize consumer lifetime value and the development of a communication strategy around acquisition, lift and retention.
Create test and learn agenda for continual testing of email subject lines, content, messaging and audience
Partner with merchandising team to create and maintain a detailed email marketing calendar.
Support Director in the development of a VIP/loyalty vision and manage the execution across multiple touchpoints (site, email, social, mobile) to build lasting consumer relationships, conversion metrics and create consistency in all customer contact.
Manage growth and maintenance of consumer database. Meet monthly new registrant, opt-in subscribers goals for multiple digital programs.
Own the overall health of the database including deliverability, refreshes and scrubs/cleansing.
Develop and maintain weekly and monthly reports detailing customer database growth and revenue growth.
Partner with other channel owners to leverage customer data and understand the interactions between channels to deliver holistic customer experiences.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum BA, BS degree
- Minimum of 3 years experience in email marketing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience in Klaviyo, Bronto, ExactTarget/Salesforce or similar email platforms
- Experience in Shopify, Demandware or similar ecommerce platform helpful
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills
- Resourcefulness to use existing resources and find new ones to drive solutions
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
